The Prayer Gathering Resource section of our web site has been recently updated to include a prayer guide for Exposition of the Most Holy Eucharist during Advent and Christmas. The story of the Sisters of Presentation in Newfoundland and Labrador is now available in a new video available on YouTube. On this the Feast of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary you are invited to view the video to learn more about the presence of the Sisters of Presentation in our province and community. In Placentia the Sisters of Presentation opened a school and convent in Placentia in 1864. They ministered here until 1989 having given 135 years of service to the community. Watch the video! Share the video! Share the story with a new generation so that the legacy of "The Convent" and "The Nuns" here in Placentia will live on.

We light this candle and pray tonight for the McLennon Family and all of those involved in the search for our friend and parishioner, Pat. We ask you to take time tonight to join our parish community and pray for his safe return home. Good and gracious God, we pray that you watch over and protect Pat. Let him be found in good health and spirit. Comfort his family, near and far, in this time of need. Be a guiding hand to those searching for him that they may be successful in... their efforts. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Elderly man missing in Placentia Placentia and Whitbourne RCMP are currently looking for an elderly man, 82-year-old Pat McLennon, in the southeast Placent...ia area. McLennon has dementia and was last seen at around 1:00pm this afternoon standing on the Main Road near Shaw’s Lane in King’s Subdivision. He is approximately six feet tall, with a slim build and grey hair, and was wearing plaid pants and a navy sweater. RCMP currently has Ground Search & Rescue, Police Dog Services and members of the public assisting in the search. Anyone with information on the possible whereabouts or sightings of Mr. McLennon is asked to please call the Placentia RCMP Detachment at 709-227-2000.
