Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal 21.11.2020

Dear parishioners, Recognizing the health and safety measures announced by the Province of Ontario on November 20, 2020, I am sharing the direction from the Archdiocese for our parish and all the parishes for Toronto and Peel. PLEASE SHARE THIS INFORMATION WITH OTHERS. -From today, November 23, 2020, due to these measures, public Masses must be temporarily cancelled. Priests are asked to celebrate private Mass daily for the intentions of parishioners and for those suffering f...rom COVID-19. After a personal phone call with the Archdiocese today, it was confirmed to me we have one daily Mass in our parish. We will streamline on www.facebook.com/ourladyofmm. Therefore, we will con-celebrate the Masses (both priests together) once a day. From Monday to Saturday at 8.am, on Sunday at 8.30am. The Mass intentions from the other Masses will be read during these celebrating Masses. Thank you for your understanding. -Churches, wherever can be open for private prayer and for the faithful to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation. So we will have our regular adoration on Wednesdays from 8.30am to 6.pm. Restricted to 10 persons at one time. Respect the 6 feet distance and masks must be worn. On Wednesdays a priest is available for reconciliation between 4.pm and 6.pm (just tell the priest). -For regular confessions on other days, please call the office. -For anointing of the sick: If the person is in the hospital, you must ask for the catholic hospital chaplain. If it’s an emergency at home, please call our parish office (416-255-2721) or priest. -Weddings, funerals and baptisms are without Mass and are restricted to 10 persons, including those who are involved in ministry (priest, cantor, altar server, etc.). -First Holy Communions and confirmations are postponed at this time. -Parishioners are encouraged to view online/livestream/televised Masses. -No meetings should take place in parish halls or other church spaces at this time. The new lockdown has left me feeling sad. So many of you rely on the reception of the sacraments and our churches to find solace, peace, and support during this pandemic. Don’t give up! Let’s stay united and watch out for each other especially those who are alone. I invite you to pray for our families, our parish and all those are struggling during these difficult times. May the mystery of the feast of Our Lady of The Miraculous Medal, enlighten and give you a new hope. God bless you , Fr. Leopold Valant CM
