The liturgy of our Church allows this week for a trio of First votive Masses: First Thursday (the votive Mass of Our Lord Jesus Christ the Eternal High Priest), First Friday (the votive Mass of the Sacred Heart of Jesus) and First Saturday (the votive Mass of the Immaculate Heart of Mary). Just as Jesus and Mary prayed for St Joseph at the time of his death, so too May we spend today and this month of November praying for the faithful departed. The Holy Mass will be offered at the shrine church today at 9:30am, 12:15pm and 5:00pm for the Holy Souls in Purgatory.
