This is our brand new 360 coordination room! Born from the ConnectedMine project, the 360 Coordination Room is the physical representation of Raglan Mine’s digi...tal transition. This hub is the result of a conscientious collaboration between the ConnectedMine and Sivumut Phase II teams, allowing for the remote coordination of underground work. From this room, supervisors oversee hauling (rock transport) and mining development operations, enabling them to adjust underground operations to meet production objectives, ensure priorities are met and address any issues that arise. With this technology, Raglan Mine is positioning itself at the forefront of the digital mining era.

At 8:30 p.m. on March 27, people around the world are being asked to switch off their lights for Earth Hour. While we can’t safely shut off the lights in our op...erations, we are taking actions every day to reduce our environmental impact. We currently have 30 Green Energy Vehicles operating underground in Canada, which will increase to 50 by the end of 2021. Not only are these vehicles better for the environment, they also create a safer work environment for our workforce and present real benefits to our business. Fun fact: Many of our green energy vehicles are powered by batteries containing nickel. Not only are we directly reducing our carbon footprint, but we are also supplying the world with the material needed to for a greener future. See more
