Who said summer camp can't be educational, rewarding and fun? We are excited to tell you about our academic camps for the summer of 2020! Youth have faced immense challenges this year and will continue to negotiate the ongoing effects of a global pandemic. ... Our camps are perfect for youth entering grades 7, 8 & 9. As BC Certified teachers, we will provide foundational literacy and study skills for students to successfully transition into the next academic grade. And, through a series of activities focused on resilience and wellness, youth will create a toolkit of resources to better navigate the social challenges of a mixed model or remote learning environment this fall. For optimal learning and safety, camp numbers will be limited to two groups of eight campers. Weekly camps run from 9am to 1:30 pm, beginning the week of July 6 until mid-August. As each week will be uniquely personalized to the needs of each group, youth will be welcome to sign up for more than one week. BC Government guidelines for safety precautions and physical distancing measures will be implemented through St. Luke's Church COVID-19 Safety Business Plan. Cost per week is 300.00.
