Want to know what a typical Monday looks like for me? Monday are my craziest days by far, a typical Monday morning for me is waking up bright and early to catch up on all my weekend orders and trying to get them all shipped before 2pm. What’s bright and early? Well, I like to begin my online order prep at 7am Why? I like to have lots of time when I shipping orders because I don’t want to feel rushed what’s so ever. You know how it works, when you ...are rushing everything seems to go wrong. So after many lessons learned, I save myself the stress and wake up a few hours earlier. After dropping my parcels off at Chit Chats, I like to make lunch and take little break. Prepping orders for 2-4 hours is exhausting. Once I feel rejuvenated, I will then get back to the computer and finish off some projects, prep my content, etc. To be honest, my afternoon switches from week to week, I usually like to keep the afternoon open on Mondays to catch up on projects and other work. I like to settle down around 4pm ish and start thinking about starting to make dinner. I tend not to work in the evenings. Hope you like my insight on what a Monday looks like for me! P.S. these are not all of the vow books I shipped this morning, I couldn’t fit them all in a straight line on my styling board. See more

Some new plates arrived in the mail yesterday and if you know me, I was just too excited not to print. It was raining outside so it was the perfect day to stay inside and print all day For those who don’t know what a polymer plate is, it’s that yellow sticker that is getting pressed against the paper to make an impression. What do you do on rainy days? ... Music: @joakimkarudmusic See more

I learnt calligraphy for free and you can too. I personally have been learning calligraphy for the past 3 years using free resources, obviously, it has been a little hard than just taking classes, but I did it. Although, the biggest thing I have learned over these 3 years was practicing my calligraphy was the only way to better my calligraphy. I actually didn’t start using a pointed pen until last year, YES January 2018! Before then, I used brush pe...ns (Tombow) regular pens (Sharpie?) and even pencils to practice. And because I practice the calligraphy motions a ton with other mediums, switching over to a pointed pen was not that difficult! But to save you some time, I created some free calligraphy practice sheets. So if you are trying to get into modern calligraphy and your are waiting to get the right tools or find the perfect class, which is totally fine, but in the meantime, JUST START PRACTICING! Use a pen or pencil, literally anything can be used to practice with my free calligraphy sheets. And if you are an intermediate calligrapher who is looking to continue to develop your skills, this practice sheet is also perfect for you! AND For all you iPad procreate lovers out there, I have also made this download available for the procreate app! Bet you didn’t see that coming! To sign up, just tap the link in bio and click Free Calligraphy Practice Sheets. It’s that simple. When did you start learning calligraphy? Today? 5 years ago? @ Vancouver, British Columbia See more

I was starting to excited for spring and then it snowed again. The snow is beautiful, don’t get me wrong! But it kind gets in the way of my routines of walking and running outside with Benson, shipping orders and doing my day to day errands. Driving in the snow terrifies me so I try to stay inside unless I am driving with someone else. The sad part is I thought it was starting to warm up so I started getting excited for spring but clearly I was very wrong, winter is back. Do you embrace the snow or hide from it?

There are two positives to letterpress printing You get beautiful paper impressions and it’s a fun workout. Yesterday I spent the afternoon printing away, second day in a row actually! Monday, I was printing thank you cards and yesterday I printed some more business cards for my wedding show this weekend The Original Bridal Swap ! Anyways, by the time I was done, I was literally S T A R V I N G, it is such a good work...out, which is something I never intended it to be when I bought it! Any other printers feel the same way? If you’re curious, this was my workout yesterday. First, I went for a 6km run with Benson and then I printed for 3 hours! I got a good leg and full body workout on the run (too many hills) and the press will worked the arms Definitely my kind of workout. See more

I don’t think I can be anymore obsessed with letterpress printing. Every time I lift a piece of pressed paper from the press, I instantly smile. Unless, I messed something up like the alignment of the plate, the ink colour, or my even my packing and of course on of the other billion things that can go wrong when printing. Even though so many things with printing CAN go wrong, it’s all about the journey of learning from your mistakes and problem solving. ... As Steve always says What would printing be without problems to solve? Haha, you defiantly do not know Steve, but he is an amazing retired printer who literally helps me with all my printing problems. Sweetest man who emails me resources and pages on pages with solutions to my problems. Everyone printer needs a Steve in their lives. #ThanksSteve Letterpress or digital printing? Comment below! We would love to see some of your beautiful faces at the bridal swap At the bridal swap I will be selling lettepress vow books and showcasing my statio...nery and calligraphy. And after the show we will be spending the rest of the night at a nice restaurant and then cuddling up with Benson most likely watching @abcquantico, that show is so good!

So yesterday it was my birthday and I got to spend the day on the mountain for the first time and I don’t know how long! It was amazing, then I got to top the night off with some Vegan pizza from @virtuous_Pie, my absolute favourite place to eat at! What’s you favourite restaurant? Bonus if it’s in Vancouver! @ Vancouver, British Columbia

All this ribbon is made from recycled silk. As someone who is always trying to be as eco-friendly as possible, it takes me a long time to find products that I can feel good about using. My ribbon is just one of the products I feel really good about using as I am saving fabric from being put in our landfills and giving it another life. My collection of ribbon is growing all the time and it is so exciting to see how many colours of ribbon I offer for my vow book collection. What is your favourite ribbon colour? Or what colour do you want to see in the future?

T H A N K Y O U to everyone who came out to the @aweddingaffair bridal show yesterday! It was so nice meeting many of you and chatting about your upcoming weddings.
