Thanks to everyone who came out to our fundraiser for @campfyrefly last Thursday. In 4 hours, we sold 78 pints of our special Pride beer, and donated all the proceeds (78x$7=$546) this morning. We also added another $3 per beer to donate a total of $780! We are so happy with the success of the event and cant wait to do another.

Patrick did an early morning brew this morning and brewed a fresh hopped pilsner with fresh, wet tettnang hops grown in Vauxhall, AB. Hop harvest is upon us! We arent sure how many brewers in Alberta are doing fresh hop beers this year, but we are using fresh wet Tettnang hops from @randyserious of Pair O Dice hops in Vauxhall to make a fresh hopped German pilsner - WAP (Wet Ass Pilsner) Instead of being separated, dried and pelletized for long term storage, fresh hops go from the field to the boil kettle right away (ideally under 24 hours) to provide a super fresh feel like no other. Look for this in the coming weeks! Taproom is being staffed by Patrick tonight, so come down and bug the brewer over a few beers. We are open 4-9pm today for all your beer needs!

This will be a long post, but the tl;dr is we are having a charity Pride night Thursday from 4-9 at Outcast. 100% of sales from a special one off 59L keg will be donated to @campfyrefly , a great organization that works with LGBTQ+ youth leaders. We originally hadnt planned on doing a Pride event this year - not because we dont support the community, but because we support the community unconditionally year round. We didnt want to appear like just another company that chan...ged our logo for a week, trying to capitalize on the struggles of so many people to achieve equality. We are completely inclusive in our business and have helped out LGBTQ+ causes year round, most recently helping financially to repaint the @airdriepridesociety sidewalk that was tragically vandalized. A chat with one of our regulars last week changed our minds on hosting an event, and because hes such a great guy, we decided it would be smart to raise some money for an evening. Thursday, from open to close (4-9, maybe later?) We will be donating 100% of revenue from a special 59L keg of hazy IPA with guava, apricot, and yuzu juice added. Thats right, GAY IPA - crazy crushable hazy 5% alc/vol juice. We will also have special Outcast shirts on sale with our new logo, rainbowd up. Super limited. Also, Outcast Pride diecut stickers. We hope to see you out. Its going to be a fabulous time.
