I think there is an illusion that if someone is good at something, they do it perfectly. Witnessing people who are masters or very accomplished, they make lots of mistakes. They just don’t think of it as a problem and they learn and keep going knowing that they will make more mistakes.... Let’s drop that whole way of thinking. Breathe. Let your shoulders fall away from your ears. Put your hand on your heart and feel it beating. Cheering you on. #bigskyyoga

I try to find the beauty in both the darkness and the light. Sometimes I do. Lots of the time I’m more excited for the longer days and sunshine and less excited about the short days.... Maybe that will change one day and I will delight in the slower days, time of reflection and become more comfortable with the darkness. For today, I’m celebrating the light, the warmth, sunshine and longer days coming. Happy Winter Solstice. #cozyhomesteadessentials #solstice #light #wintersolstice #winter

How are you coping? With everything going on, I have to be very purposeful in zapping myself with things that nurture my nervous system and care for my soul. When I do these things I am more likely to :... Sleep better Fuel myself better Drink less wine Drink more water Connect with my loved ones Keep things in perspective I can’t approach my life by putting sleep, food, water, relationships first. I fail every time because it is only behaviour that I am working on. When I focus on my insides first....the outside flows. For me, moving, being outside and creating all help keep things aligned. Cheering you on. #bigskyyoga

Emotions can be so tricky. I believe this is an area that needs so much more awareness, how to take care of emotions in a way that leaves you healthy, capable, resilient and strong. We usually understand 2 things about emotions... 1. Be tough, shove them down. This perspective has left a lot of us not even being able to recognize an emotion. ... 2. Feel it hard, let it run your life. The other extreme, where emotions have taken the drivers seat. There are other options. Better serving options. But before you even get there, most of us have to do the work of being curious about emotions. Noticing them, identifying them, recognizing them. Giving them space. Allowing them to show up or when they are showing up not acting on them. Be curious. Hold space. For yourself and those around you. #bigskyyoga #holdspace #createspace #emotions
