The "full corn moon" that arrives tomorrow is having an amazing impact on the fishing with Liam and I catching/raising 9 muskies in 4 1/2 hours. The "harvest mo...on", on the other hand, arrives on Oct. 1st, being the closest full moon to the equinox. And get this, I make a figure 8 after every cast, and when I did one the other day and saw nothing, I started pulling the lure up to make my next cast. When my lure was a foot or two out of the water and moving into the back cast, a muskie cleared the surface and ate it. I am not sure who was shocked more - the fish or me. I mean, I was standing in the bow of the boat with a muskie going berserk, dangling off the end of my line. Before I could hit the free spool button and drop my rod tip, the fish shook off.
