What a windy weekend! One of the many great things about the old traditional drive-in movie theatres was the permanent screens. The show could go on wind, rain,... or shine. While calm weather is always the best, it is climate controlled inside your car right? That is what Moonight Movies is trying to build only 9km from Regina in Pilot Butte. An old school drive-in with a real screen. As many of you know, we had a location in Lumsden last year that did not work out. So we lost our screen in the process. Now we are trying to quickly get open at our new location but are asking for help in replacing that key piece of equipment. Speaking of corporate sponsorship... are you looking for a unique way to advertise your business? We still have room for a few more $500 packages that get your ad on screen, on our social media, and a few other perks. Private message us for details. And please SHARE THIS POST! we need to get the word spread far and wide.

Outer Edge Adventure Park 11.12.2020

After being asked numerous times when our business Outer Edge Adventure Park will be opening for the season near Lumsden, thought it's best to share this here.... Please let those who are not on social media know. As we had stated near the end of last year's season, our family made the difficult decision to close our business - zipline tours, rock climbing and such. Many tears were shed and honestly continue to be (especially by me when I share stories of those who's lives we impacted in a positive way) With the local RM's requirements placed on us in order to continue with those adventures alone meeting those costs alone would of been excessive. Even some which had been added on by the developement officer, after the councils decision. On top of it all, the denial for our recreational centre to be able to add the drive in product to our seasonal business really ended it all for us. This addition was to offset safety zipline costs (yearly ones we had always completed- inspections etc) and a pokey start in sales. If the drive in would of been a go, we most certainly would of been here still- well at least until covid-19 hit. Actually the drive in would of been able to continue and would be busy. Ziplining with restrictions too. That's another story.... We've had several other RMs and town council reps reach out to us about moving the business there....seems we were a type of business that others wanted in their community and wanted to keep. Let's just say mountains would of been moved and paths easily cleared. (some of them neighboring to our RM). So where does this leave us, apart from licking our wounds, scratching our heads and healing? Our furnished suites on our property are still available to rent (as we had received a permit to operate a b&b on site back in 2012. ( although they tried to stop us from using them initially). These we had referred to as our Hillside Studio Suites so check them out on Facebook. Next time all you none business owners are about to say owning a business must be so awesome, easy and they should do this and that - stop yourself and remember their struggles are real. They need a community to support them and not just those businesses owned by our friends. We all struggle, some of us more then others and especially now. Put away your selfishness and do what's best for the masses! Have a read of the attached story. Hits home. Seems somewhat familiar. Thanks for listening. STAY SAFE!
