Have you been struggling with COVID adaptation, or even just wondering if there is more of a market out there for your product or business? I'm hosting a digital workshop this Wednesday, September 23rd, focused on helping to find the ideal market for your business or product. For more information check out the workshop details below! https://startupzone.ca//marketing-research-session-findin/
Here's another one of the practice product shots. This is the Major Tom sour from Upstreet Craft Brewing As for the editing, I wanted to make sure that I was showing off the beautiful colour design for the label, and complimenting it with the background as best I could. I went with darker colours and tones for the background so the bright colours in the label could stand out a bit more. For the framing I thought it would be cool to use a similar shape to the bottle as part of the background, so I used the Point Prim Lighthouse as a secondary focus point.
Here's another one of the practice product shots from the other week. I really enjoyed the minimal design of this can from Lost Craft, the white and gold made for an easy choice when it came to editing, but I think the background really helped create a "Lost to the Tide" vibe. I just wish I had a diffusion sheet on me to get a shot without the glare.
In any industry, it's important to refresh knowledge or skills. I decided to get the other week and wipe a bit of dust off my product photography chops. It was also a great excuse to expense one of my favorite ciders from No Boats On Sunday Cider.
I realize I've been a bit radio silent on social media since my workshop, of which I'd love to thank all the individuals who attended, the turn out was fantastic! Things have been steadily busy since the workshop, which is better than I could have asked for. I've been really inspired creatively to look at what I'm doing and figure out how to make it better, I've even been going out and doing practice product photography to keep my creativity fueled. I was pretty afraid that once I got into business doing things that I enjoyed, that they would start to feel like chores, but it's been the polar opposite experience. It's challenged me to look at what I enjoy from different perspectives and to be more creative with the final products. I'm excited about everything to come with Outer Island Media.
