Another Outgiving story has been fulfilled! Victoria Liz, one of our members here in Outgive, has inspired us by sharing her story in ways she can give back to the community. As a team and a company, we greatly believe in the purpose of supporting an organization that aims for the greater good. Now, we see how Victoria successfully delivered and became a true Outgiver through her Wish Fulfillment at the Everlasting Hope in Cebu, Philippines. "Every year, I join my uncle as he... shares his time and resources to the beautiful children of Everlasting HOPE Cebu. All the kids in the center were diagnosed with cancer at a young age. Everlasting HOPE Cebu, as an organization, aims to give hope to these kids and their families, extending support and financial aid for their chemo sessions, therapies, and medications. The pandemic made their situation even more difficult especially because the kids at a greater risk of getting infected by the virus. They had difficulties in continuing the hospital treatments of the children while the others are having struggles with remote learning. This is the reason why I took the opportunity and picked Everlasting HOPE Cebu as my beneficiary during the Wish Fulfillment in Outgive 2020. With the money the company gave, I was able to buy rice, biscuits, milk, alcohol, and vitamins for the kids and their family. We dropped off the donations last Friday along with the clothes and toys from my uncle hehe:) I made a short vlog to document the whole experience. It’s such a wonderful start of the year knowing that we, as a company, have made someone’s wish come true! Outgive is truly grateful for the opportunity to be a part in the fulfillment of your wishes and dreams through our very first Wish Fulfillment Activity which took place last Christmas. For always, we strive to live to our core of OUTGIVING and hope that we could bring more joy and happiness to both our members and the community! Let’s read this wonderful story by one ...of our worthy participants who became the voice for sharing the children’s simple wishes of receiving a bicycle for Christmas. Stephen and Gale’s family is living next door in the same compound we are renting. I frequently babysit them along with their 1-year-old sister whenever their parents have some important errands or side hustles to attend to. Almost every day we would play within the limits of the house or the compound. And slowly since the pandemic started, a bunch of children would pass by the gates with their colorful bicycles. They would watch the other kids in envy go back and forth flashing their rides. They can’t play with their playmates anymore the same way as before the pandemic started. And a bicycle is a great way to still keep them moving physically as this kind of activity is important to a child’s holistic health and development. But sadly, I as well as their parents have no means to give it to them. I took a chance on Outgive’s Wish Fulfillment Contest to give these children the opportunity to still be happy and enjoy their childhood amidst what is happening in the world today. I am really thankful and joyful that my wish for them has been granted and I am happy to share that they are really enjoying the gifts!
