We get a lot of people asking about the rail system hanging from our ceiling. It used to be used to transport receipts and money up to the main office, as there were no cash registers on the floor. Originally built in 1905, only about 30% of the rail remains at the Co-op, the rest of it is at the Grey Roots Museum. Hope you enjoy these pictures I found of McKay’s money rail being used in the mid ‘80’s.
