What's on for the weekend? How about a date at Westland? We're thrilled to host Dana Cowie and Maryann Hendriks on Sunday for an artist talk -- join us at 11 AM..., Sun, Feb 2. This casual chat will offer insight into their work, creative process and more. Never more than an hour, seating provided & free to attend!

I'm in a group show at the end of the month at Westland Gallery in London, Ontario. Love this blog post they did! Winter Exhibition runs January 28 - February 15. I saw a picture (in my mind) and it was of some heavy laden, snow covered branches on a tree. The branches were light with snow but heavy and pulled down at once (contrasting my/our feelings with the truth of who Jesus is). I went for a short walk before I started my painting. I was trying to figure out how it would go. And as I looked around I saw all the snow covering the branches and remembered this: Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.... 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.
