A very important part of our health, happiness and overall well-being is getting enough sleep each night. In a time when you might reach for the OTC sleep aids, I want to recommend some swaps that I have found to be personally very helpful. Each night about 20 minutes before bed try taking 1 Serenity softgel as well as 1 Copaiba softgel. These magic softgels will help quiet your mind and won’t leave you feeling groggy in the morning. Such a WIN/WIN! Don’t forget to load th...e nightstand diffuser with your favorite sleepy time blend! I recommend Lavender and Breathe to keep the airways open..especially helpful if there is a snorer in your life! Do you struggle to fall asleep? Stay asleep? Get enough sleep? If you have young children, do not even respond you win.

I know I know I know. They smell nice. They help eliminate static electricity..BUT they are loaded with toxins. I am sorry to be the bearer of bad news but it is time to break up with your dryer sheets if you have not already!(Can we still be friends?!) Don’t worry - I would never leave you high and dry without a substitution. There are a few options! First you can use wool dryer balls. Just add a few drops of your favorite essential oil to your dryer balls for the last ...10 minutes of your dry cycle and your clothes will end up smelling great! You can buy these or check out this recipe on the doTERRA blog to make your own: https://www.doterra.com//diy-article-blog-spotlight-dryer- Another option is to make your own dryer sponges! This recipe uses Lavender but you could use your essential oil of choice of course: https://www.doterra.com//en/blog/diy-lavender-dryer-sponges Is ditching your dryer sheets going to be hard for you or have you already tossed the toxins?

Have you ever heard of dry brushing? If you haven’t, it is the practice of exfoliating the skin with a brush consisting of coarse, natural-fiber bristles over the body in a particular pattern and it is believed to have many benefits. Some of these benefits include: stimulating the lymphatic system, exfoliating the skin, helping the body rid of toxins, increasing circulation and energy, and helping to break down cellulite. (HECK YES SISTER!) To dry brush you will need a nat...ural fiber brush with a long handle. As an added bonus you can add a drop or two of Grapefruit essential oil or even Slim & Sassy Metabolic Blend to your dry brush for added benefits. Follow these steps: 1. Start at your feet and move up your body 2. Brush your skin using wide, circular, clockwise motions 3. Use light pressure where your skin is thin and harder pressure on thicker skin, like the soles of your feet. 4. Brush your arms after you have brushed your feet, legs and mid-section. Brush upwards towards your armpits. 5. Take a cool shower afterwards to remove dead skin. 6. After your shower, dry off and consider using dTERRA Spa Hand and Body Lotion or the dTERRA Spa Replenishing Body Butter to moisturize skin. 7. Avoid sensitive areas like your lady bits, rashes, wounds, cuts, infections as well as the face. Does this sound like something that you should implement into your life?

A habit that is often overlooked is making self-care a priority. We might realize we need to unwind once it is too late. I would like for us all (myself included!) to schedule self-care. That will truly make it a habit. Self-care can look different for everyone and can vary for you from time to time as well depending on your needs. A popular practice for relaxation is adding a few drops of Lavender or an essential oil of your choice to Epsom Salts and draw yourself a nice warm bath. Grab a portable diffuser, a good book and a cup of tea, or wine and turn your bathroom into a relaxation station. Do you have a favorite thing to do to recharge your batteries?

As we continue our simple swaps with On Guard products - we have to talk about the toothpaste and mouthwash! The naturally whitening toothpaste is fluoride-free and has been one of my favorite products of all time. You only need a pea-sized amount on your toothbrush (a little goes a long way!) and you will have clean teeth, fresh breath, reduced plaque and tooth stains. Sounds pretty great, right? You will then want to follow up with the On Guard Mouthwash. The mouthwash is alcohol free and formulated to clean teeth and gums as well as reduce plaque when used as part of a healthy hygiene routine of brushing and flossing. Did you know that oral hygiene is so important for our overall health?
