With the school year off to a great start we have had time to consult with the administration and have plans underway for our first Oxbow Home and School meeting of the school year! Our Association Executives for the 2020 -2021 School Year are: President: Ingrid Bygden ... Vice-President: Stacey Palen Treasurer: Erin Ward Secretary: Karen Sheaves Our first meeting is being planned for Wednesday October 28th at 7:30pm via Zoom. Oxbow staff are so excited to welcome our students back during the week of Monday, Sept. 14th. Our teachers will be in touch via email later today to let their... students know who is in their class. Ms. Buck has made our staff cool face buttons so you will know who we are even with our masks on! A detailed email from our Administration was sent out last night with lots of information to hopefully answer any questions you may have. In addition, students who are in the combined grade 3/4 classes are expected to wear masks according to updated TVDSB guidelines. Our Oxbow team has been working hard to make sure our students feel safe and welcome! Please feel free to reach out to the office @ 519-666-0310 if you have any questions. Hey Ilderton GRADS - We’re Proud of you! It doesn’t matter if you spent your last year in elementary school or have just finished off your high school career we... are proud of you and want to show it! We’re having a reverse parade and you’re the main attraction! GRADUATES If you are graduating grade 8 or grade 12 then we invite you to line Main Street on Thursday June 25th at 8pm to let your friends, family and community send you out in the loudest way these unprecedented times will let us! * This is an invitation for all Grads - Grade 8 or 12 - which school you attended doesn’t matter ~ you do! * Come out ~ wear your school name or logo if you have it and let us cheer for your accomplishments! * There will be guidelines and measures in place to keep everyone healthy and volunteers to help ensure we keep these in mind! How Will This Reverse Parade Work? * Graduates will line Main Street starting at LivyBean - Both Sides. * Friends and Families will drive the reverse parade loop! It is a loop meaning it doesn’t matter if you don’t know which side your graduate is on - you’re gonna do both! * Reverse Parade Route > Cars will line up Robert Street starting by the post office - think Ilderton Fair Float starting point. > Cars will proceed to turn left onto Ilderton Road and follow along until King Street. > Cars will turn right onto King Street and proceed through the back entrance of the fair grounds. > Cars will travel across the grounds and through the Arena entrance turn left back onto Ilderton Road. > Cars will travel down Ilderton Road completing the second half of the loop. IMPORTANT DETAILS - * Participating Graduates must be at the LivyBean parking lot for 7:30pm - Our volunteers will be assisting (respecting physical distancing) lining the grads up. * Family and Friends - Remember to keep the flow of traffic moving - you will drive both sides of Ilderton Road so you will see your graduate - the road is not being closed. * Face masks are recommended where you feel physical distancing may be a challenge * If you, your graduate or any members of your family are feeling unwell please stay home. * The parade will be video taped and photographed by the parents and organizers wanting to capture the moment.

Oxbow Curbside Pickup

Hello Oxbow Families!! Many of you that are part of our hot lunch program would have already received an email. But just in case, read on. We hope everyone is doing well. We apologize for not reaching out sooner, it's taken longer than anticipated to put our plan in place, thank-you for your patience.... Hot Lunches are obviously cancelled and as we are unsure how things will look in the fall, instead of retaining balances and using them toward next year's lunch program we are providing refunds at this time. We have been able to arrange for e-transfer refunds to maintain physical distancing and these will be making their way out to you over the next couple of weeks (Due to banking limits only so many can be processed in a specific time period). We noted that some people have work emails as contacts and may be away from their workplace - please update email addresses in the system to what is most current. Thank-you again for your continued support of our lunch program, we look forward to getting our program up and running again when the time is right. In the meantime, any questions can be sent to our Hot Lunch email at [email protected]. Stay safe!
