Hey Oxford Winds & music community! Our friends at Oxford County Suicide Prevention need your talents. They are looking for uplifting musical performances for their upcoming virtual World Suicide Prevention Day. Just record a video of yourself playing a tune and submit it to: [email protected] The deadline is September 5th. Thanks for lifting up our friends for such a special reason.

Today members of the Oxford Winds were informed that the group will not resume rehearsals in September. This decision was made to protect the health and safety of all our performers. We’re sad, and we miss our musical friends, but we know we’ll all be able to play together again soon. It’s not forever...it’s just a rest.

Congratulations Deneige Bergman, the 2020 recipient of the Oxford Winds Award! Deneige is an accomplished and talented flutist/multi-instrumentalist who has been accepted to university to continue her studies in music. We wish her nothing but success!

Tonight would have been our spring concert. We miss all of you! But we are practicing hard and getting ready for when we can all perform together again. For example: Just look at all the new rhythms we’re learning!

Unfortunately, due to concerns surrounding COVID-19, the Oxford Winds have cancelled the upcoming May 8th Adventures with the Winds performance. At this time, there will be no rehearsals, performances or social gatherings of the Oxford Winds until September 2020. We look forward to a great 2020/2021 season and wish all our members and supporters all the best through this challenging period.

YES we are still accepting electronic applications for the Oxford Winds Award! Students graduating high school who plan on continuing their post-secondary studies in music are encouraged to apply. Understanding that it may be difficult for students to access their transcripts at this time, that requirement will be waived for this round of applications. Good luck!
