It's gonna be a wonderful fall day for all you golfers in #brandonsarmy tomorrow, Sat. Oct. 3rd, here at #oxleybeachgolfcourse. A few things to keep in mind. With a low of 2C there's a possibility of frost delays for the early tee times booked. We'll see in the morning. Please arrive no sooner than 10 minutes before your tee time and respect physical distancing measures and staging of groups. For an added bonus and challenge, Boudreau Construction is graciously sponsorin...g a Closest to the Pin Prize for Hole # 18, so save your really good shot for that one! The morning is booked solid, but still a fair number of open spots between 2 and 4 in the afternoon...just give a call at the clubhouse in the morning. Brandon Bezaire never showed up at the course without a smile on his face. He's just that kind of guy! Well we've missed seeing him this summer out here at Oxley Beach...ever since his diagnosis of stage 4 stomach cancer. We're going to try and return some of the cheer he so often gives. On Saturday Oct. 3rd, we're hosting a fundraising golf day (not a tourney) to help Brandon and his wife Amy through this challenging time. Anyone who wants to help out, even if you don't... know him, simply call and book a tee time (using the code "Brandon's Army") for golf anytime throughout that day. $5 from your round of 9 or 18 holes will be donated to "Support the Bezaires". So great to have the "WonderBroads" out for another round yesterday, and to have such a beautiful day to match these beautiful women! For those of you who don't know, this is the team name for a special support group who are dragon boat racers...each one of them is a breast cancer survivor! Their motto: Courage, Commitment, Comraderie through Teamwork and Respect! Kudos to you smiling girls...you're way more than just paddlers! #wonderwomen

Lots of hummingbirds spotted feeding from the flowers around the clubhouse. Ever had one fly by so near that you could hear the buzzing sound of its wings? Apparently the average North American hummingbird beats its wings 53 times per second, and can fly at a forward speed of about 48 km/h with a max in diving of 79 km/h. Wow! @ #OxleyBeachGolfCourse

As we jump into fall and the days continue to shorten on both ends, we're adjusting hours here at Oxley Beach. As of today we open on weekdays at 9:00...while weekend opening for now remains at 8:00am. Currently last tee time for 9 holes is 6:00pm. Thank you.
