Baby Mamas another Prenatal Series is on its way! In this class we will use yoga postures, meditations, and breath to help pregnant women feel more relaxed, confident and connected. Through yoga and movement we fill focus on areas of the body that are commonly effected by pregnancy such as hips, lower and upper back, and the pelvic floor. We will also practice tools to help build resilience and strengthen expecting mother's ability to cope with the intensity of birth. Join... our friendly and welcoming community! What is Barre? We use a combination of postures inspired by ballet. The barre is used as a prop to balance while doing exercises that focus on isometric strength training combined with high reps of small range of motion movements. This is a 6 week pre-registered series for $89. Please email [email protected] to register and secure your spot. A series of yoga classes designed specifically for pregnant bodies. Prenatal yoga can be hugely beneficial in supporting our bodies, minds and emotions during pregnancy and birth. ...We will use yoga postures to strengthen and stabilize our bodies, as well to help release tensions that are common during pregnancy. Breathing techniques and meditations that can help ease anxieties will be taught, connecting us to our intuition and helping to build confidence. All of which can greatly effect our experience during pregnancy and the initiation that is giving birth. This class can also be a great way of connecting with a supportive community of other expectant mothers. All stages of pregnancy and all levels of practice welcome (beginners included!) Raised all over the world, Irena gratefully lives, works and plays on Vancouver Island on traditional territories of the Lkwungen peoples. Irena has been committed to her yoga practice for the past twelve years, completing her Yoga Teacher Training in Greece in 2014. Since then, she has been sharing her passion and spreading health and wellness as a yoga teacher facilitating yoga and wellness classes and workshops across Canada. With accessibility and inclusivity in mind, her teaching focuses on mindfulness, self-awareness, and self-regulation. Outside of yoga, Irena works in home and community health, providing speech and language therapy services. Everyone meet Kamila! One of our beautiful Westshore Instructors Kamila grew up on Vancouver island, she keeps very active by playing sports, practicing yoga, as well as swimming, skiing, hiking and exploring within BCs bountiful nature! Dance was a huge part of Kamilas yoga journey and active lifestyle growing up; she fell in love with graceful mobility, and learned much about stretching and movement anatomy.
