Fun Manitoba maple I got to take down this weekend, was already rubbing on the cottage in the heavy winds so time to go.

They lucked out with minimal damage to the tarp shed with motorcycles being stored inside, just a couple punctures. Wind storms strikes again!!

Keep an eye on those trees folks, these winds can break branches and even completely uproot some trees!! Couple jobs from this week, a massive dead poplar(wood stayed there) and a dead elm right beside the house. Both were tricky on their own but fun none the less!

Thanks to Cochrane Tree Service for coming out to help me take down this massive Silver Maple last week. Customer and neighbors were constantly worried every time the wind blew so everyone was happy to see it go!

Big dead Elm tree beside the house had to come down today, yes I should have been wearing my hard hat with how dead it was but we’ll let that slide this time! That hinge wood sound is the best though

This splitting Norway maple had to come down today, spanning 4 yards made it loads of fun to rope down piece by small piece. Now to let the spruce and other maple behind it take over and fill in the space.

Todays fun was removing this declining ash tree. Had pruned it a few times over the last couple years to save it as long as possible but it was time to go today. The phone/cable and power lines were a bit of a struggle but got it down without any sort of damage.

Got to return to a maple I trimmed 2 years ago when I first got going in my own to do another crown reduction and deadwood trim. Tree is 30+ years old and has been maintained to keep it this size for years.

Forgot to take more pics of today’s job but pretty sure that’s Peter Pan on that roof!

Got to work on some tree preservation yesterday bolting this split walnut back together, had been split for so long the healing wood made it impossible for a tight seal but got it as close as possible for the temporary fix. #pctreeservice #ontario #blackwalnut #arboriculture #treework
