Dr. Jim Chirico, Medical Officer of Health, was joined in today's press conference by Louise Gagne, Director of Community Services, and Andrea McLellan, Directo...r of COVID-19 Immunization Strategy, to provide an update on our pandemic response. Some key take-aways: -Continue following public health measures, even after receiving one or two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. This is especially important to remember with the long weekend and warmer weather approaching. -Individuals should not be travelling to their cottages and camps unless it is essential. -Cases are starting to decrease provincially, but are increasing locally. -There are appointments available in the district this weekend for groups eligible to receive their vaccine. More groups became eligible this week. Visit our website for more information: https://bit.ly/3fyXX4h -Our new toll-free COVID-19 Call Centre number is 1-844-478-1400. https://bit.ly/3tJIjqg
