Friday, September 18th, 2020 Dear Parents/Guardians, Students and Staff of Rogers School, A favourite event of many of the children and staff at Rogers School is planned for Tuesday, September 29, 2020. This year marks the 40th Anniversary of the first ever Terry Fox Run, the start of The Marathon of Hope and we are pleased to be hosting our 21st annual run here at Rogers School. In keeping with the wishes of the Terry Fox Foundation and the Ministry of Health, we will ne...ed to organize our school run and fundraising differently this year. We plan to run laps around the school field in our cohort groups throughout the day this year, instead of having the whole school run together at the same time. We will once again be inspired by some great music and catchy tunes, but unfortunately, we can’t invite families to join us at the school. We are proud to take part in this year’s 40th Anniversary of Terry Fox’s Marathon of Hope and hope that parents/guardians, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, neighbours, students and staff will help show their support by donating online to: http://www.terryfox.ca/RogersElementary as we are unable to collect cash or cheque donations this year. We are hoping to meet or beat last year’s fundraising total of $5,253.00. Thank you for supporting our school in the fight against cancer and continuing Terry’s legacy!
