Customers and employees alike learned new skills this year at Pacifica. Tim was always helping customers on the dock last year, and this year he's also helped in the office in Brentwood AND learned to run Swartz Bay too! Way to go Tim, we appreciate having you as part of the Pacifica crew in 2019 and 2020.

Brian (far left in image) is a key member of Pacifica at our office, working with all our storage customers, and helping everyone who phones in or comes into the office. We appreciate our diverse team, some shown here, and we strive to connect with all our guests. Kayaking and working with this great crew was a Royal (Bay) treat this summer. Amelia (R) was energetic while assisting customers every day at Brentwood Bay, and worked with Karoline (L) and Peter to get Colwood residents on the water at Royal Beach a few times in the summer. We look forward to more beach days like this next summer.

Who else is thankful for community and seeing flowers outside in November? You've probably noticed the floating community garden at the front of the Brentwood kayak barge; when you come to Pacifica, at Portside Marina in Brentwood, you join a friendly marine community. Shoutout to the hardworking owners of Portside Marina, who are continually upgrading the marina for paddlers and boaters. Through the pouring rain, they installed a new, safer ramp in front of our shop.

A SAIL PAST is happening on Sunday December 13th in Brentwood Bay At 7:30. What's that? It's a light parade of sailboats decked out for the holidays! Take a walk along the shore in Brentwood that evening to see the boats parade by! Call to all local Mariners: Put your lights on, and come cruise the bay. If you want to join, let us know, and we'll connect you with Denise, the organiser.

Believe it or not, the holidays are not that far away. I know, I know, it's not even Halloween yet, who wants to think about the holidays already? Paddling in the dark is a unique experience, and spotting the naturally occurring bio-luminescence is truly special! Paddle out to watch one of our beautiful Brentwood Bay sunsets and then across the bay to Tod Inlet where we'll take time to chec...k out the bio-luminescence.
