We are hiring! We are looking for an experienced CNC Machinist who will be contributing to the successful growth of our company, perform all duties, and maintain industry best practices. Close attention to detail is required. Key responsibilities:... Set up and operate conventional turning and milling equipment, HAAS CNC mills (w/ 4th axis) and lathes Proficient use of SolidWorks, AutoCAD and Mastercam Study drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements. Plan and coordinate weekly work Perform routine maintenance tasks on machines as required. Use Company protocol to maintain accurate records for all work in progress Maintaining a clean and organized work area and keep all equipment, to like new appearance, according to maintenance plans and established safety procedures. Develop understanding of our business and pursue opportunities to contribute to company growth Thriving in a work environment that often requires multi-tasking and flexibility while keeping a strong attention to detail Establish open communication within the team by encouraging and providing support to co-workers to build employee morale Required skills and characteristics: Education: Red Seal Certification in Machining Minimum 5 years’ of experience performing CNC machining Experience in the metal fabrication & manufacturing industry Good verbal and written communication skills in the English language. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Able to use all measuring tool needed in trade. Quality control, measuring within .0001" Ability to work safely, accurately and consistently in a fast paced environment Organized and punctual Working conditions are based on a 40-hour work week, between 6:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday. SERVICE HIGHLIGHT: OUR METAL CUTTING CAPABILITY Metal cutting has many mediums in which it can be expressed. Manual and automated saw cutting, as well as plasma capabilities are used within the Pacific scope. The 'right cut', can be an integral part of the efficiency and aesthetic of a metal fabrication project. Saw cutting, allows for the correct size of metal to be used, whereas Plasma cutting permits a more creative use of cutting and design. Our Plasma cutter, located at... our 100 Mile (Exco) location, is capable of both large scale and intricate work. Our team is capable of creating and converting vectorized artwork manifesting as a product. This is possible through technologies, experience, as well as an integration of those two assets! Plasma; the fourth dimension of matter is used by directing electrical arcs through concentrated gas and then expelling this through a small opening. By using this intense and precise directing of matter, our machine is capable of cutting material from 26 ga up to 12" thick plates with a motion accuracy of +/- 0.010". Pacific was established to meet a need of quality through the entire metal fabrication process. This was made apparent as our founder sought out parts for his family's horse-drawn carriage company and was disappointed to see the craftsmanship vary company to company. He decided to address this need and consolidated many services under one name: Pacific! Our team took this product through from start-to-finish. We want to highlight the powder coating job that was done by our Powder Coating Manager's hand and watchful eyes - the edges, the colour and the consistency of paint are always monitored to ensure a finish to our products that we are proud of.
