Talk to Mr. Janz to register. There are great opportunities to talk to potential employers across the province. https://events.blackpress.ca/northernbc/ ~ Game Ready Fitness ~ Work out with professional athletes every week with Game Ready Fitness. Game Ready Fitness will be changing locations and taking place at the Civic Auditorium on Tuesday. We hope this is more convenient for students. Chrystopher will be taking students to the civic at around 1:30. Space is limited. ~ Gyeksm Goot (Calm Heart) Project ~ For those that have been signed up this project will start on Wednesday of this week. PCS is very excited to be collaborating with PRMS on this project which is supported by the RCMP and DP World. It will run every Wednesday for the month of May and a bit into June. Lunch will be provided and it will be catered by the Fresh Onion. ~ Art Club ~ Art club will start in full swing this week with artist Chris Fraser. She has a lot of excellent projects planned including fire-clay, digital art, painting among other things. If you feel like you have your own project to work on, or art you want to focus on, that is ok too. It's an Art Club. Everyone is welcome no matter how "artistic" you are. Snacks and drinks will be provided. ~ COVID Concerns ~ We know there are a lot of concerns about COVID in our community right now. Rupert has had a spike in cases. Despite the increase in cases, PCS wants everyone to know that Rupert schools are still a safe space. Remember to use your COVID-Sense: Wash/sanitise your hands regularly Avoid or limit touching your face Maintain 2 meters distance Wear a mask If you use your COVID-Sense your risk of getting COVID are reduced significantly. Our schools are regularly sanitised throughout the day, our schools have good ventilation and, while there have been a few cases associated with people at schools, there has been NO known transmission within a Rupert school. This is a testament of how well our schools have done. PCS respects everyone's personal choice within regards to attending or not. If you are not attending because of COVID please communicate that to us. We'd like to know. PCS is looking forward to seeing everyone this week.
