The takeaway really is one of the most important parts of your golf swing. If you can master the first move in your swing, it sets the rest of your swing up for success Sometimes we see these "death moves" in the takeaway, for example: Severe rolling of the hands and the clubhead being trapped on the inside... Hands moving too far away from the body causing the entire swing plane to be too outside This is student @jerryli_golf demonstrating the correct position: Hands remain close to the body Clubhead remains slightly in front of the hands How is your takeaway? This seems like a great last post for 2020, @jerryli_golf won a @maplejt national championship this summer, shot many rounds under 70 this season, but what is he doing? Did you know that tour professionals have more than 100% of their weight on their lead foot at impact? What does this mean? It means that as they start the downswing, they are pushing down into the ground and leveraging the ground force to create more power in their swing . . . If you would like a drill to help you instantly feel more of your weight on your lead foot at impact try this one! Pacific Golf’s @daryl.stubbs with another quality lesson! Wow George has improved tremendously this season, a big part of him becoming a better golfer has been his added growth in height. With his long arms, George now has incredible extension in during his backswing creating a bigger arc, more speed and more power 2021 is going to be a big season for George, can’t wait to see what low score this beautiful swing produces. Now yesterday's post we showed you how to use our new foam matt to improve your follow through, in today's post, we show you how to use it to improve your backswing! For this drill we place the student's trail foot direct next to the foam block. You should feel your weight loading up on your trail foot but not feel that is too far on the outside of the foot. If this happens it could mean you are a) swaying in the backswing or b) not pivoting correctly Notice how our stude...nt rotates nicely and really loads up the backswing to create maximum power. New training aid in the studio! Over the next few days we'll show you all the different ways we can use this simple foam block to help improve our student's golf swing. For this drill we place the student's lead foot directly next to the foam block. The goal is for the student to "post up" on his left side by straightening his leg, turning his hip, and avoiding any "swaying" in his downswing and follow through. This drill will dramatically improve student's lower body... movements in the swing. #golf #golfdrill

Visualizing your shot! This is something that all tournament players are able to do on a consistent basis A good routine begins behind the golf ball with the player, deciding and 100% committing to the type of shot they want to hit, the exact target they will aim at, and the exact shot shape (draw, fade, or straight) ... How's your visuzualiation on the course? Do you have a consistent pre-shot routine before every shot?

We are incredibly blessed to live in one of the warmest spots in Canada! It's December and we are enjoying blue skies, dry courses, and plenty of sunshine We are definitely going to take advantage of this weather and head to the course for some playing lessons! Here is Freddy Sun demonstrating some incredible speed with his driver. He is consistently over 115mph with this club and still has a lot of potentially for more as he continues his strength training plans this offsea...son.
