Appliances like furnaces, boilers, water heaters and fireplaces require regular maintenance by a gas contractor licensed by Technical Safety BC to continue to run efficiently and safely. Prepare for fall by reviewing your owners manual to confirm how often you should have your appliances checked or have your furnace filter changed.

Did you know? Natural gas is odourless. PNG adds mercaptana safe odorant that smells like rotten eggsto make gas leaks easier to detect. If you smell something, hear a loud whistling sound, or see a steam-like cloud or what looks like frost on the ground, it may be a natural gas leak. Leave the area on foot immediately. Once you are a safe distance, call 911 and follow their instructions.
