The Bill Mason Memorial Scholarship Fund is a tribute to the late Bill Mason, a Canadian recognized both nationally and internationally as an avid canoeist, environmentalist, filmmaker, photographer, artist, and public speaker. Three Paddle Canada sea kayak instructors are embarking on a 100km fundraising paddle later this week: "Three kayakers will be paddling 100k to cross the Strait of Georgia from Swartz Bay to Jericho Beach raising money for Ratanak International. Would you consider donating $1.00 for every kilometer we paddle? Each year in Cambodia, thousands of young women and men are trafficked and exploited. Ratanak International works with Cambodians to restore those robbed of freedom and ...protect the vulnerable. We will begin our grueling 20-hour paddle on July 24th, paddle through the night, and arrive at the Jericho Sailing Centre at approximately 3:00 pm on July 25th. Donations can be made at bit.ly/100kcrossing More information about Ratanak can be found at https://www.ratanak.org You can track us live at share.garmin.com/tidaljourneys password: 100k All are welcome to join us by boat for the final paddle from Spanish Banks to Jericho. I am sure we will be needing the encouragement by that point! Thank you for your consideration, John Lippert Lauren Meunch Jess Bradshaw See more
