BIG NEWS!! Alright, here goes nothing! ( I’m so damn nervous ) I’ve spend the last two months learning the in’s and out’s of a new web platform and learning to be a web designer all over again. I sat down and started from scratch. I looked at where I started in this business vs where j am now and really examined my brand, how I want to represent myself, how to put my personality into my branding and where exactly I want my business to go and how to express that through this... website. This first photo is exactly how excited I feel today!! I am officially done editing all of my August weddings!!! I sent out my last elopement this morning and I feel like only another photographer or @kendralynnerainer will truly understand how exciting this is for me!! But for those of you not in the photography world, it means I’ve just rounded a huge editing corner with August being one of the busiest months of the year and it’s all down hill from here to editing my last elopement of the season in early October! Bring on the September Elopements, I’m almost done!!!

If you’ve met Jase, you’ll know how much of a fluke getting the 6th photo in this series was I can’t believe how long it’s taken me to post these photos!!! I often find it takes me forever to post photos from my favourite sessions because I simply can not choose which ones to post!

How do I choose, seriously? The cute factor is just overwhelming @kyliebjornson

Okay guys I asked and you answered! Time to talk about Fall Family Mini Sessions! Sessions can be used for Family, lifestyle newborn, school portraits, mommy and me, grandparents and grandkids, maternity, couples etc.... Where: A beautiful grassy field in Langdale, pictured above. When: October 18th Cost: $250 What: 25 photos - up to 6 people - 1 outfit change Times: 2:00 pm - taken 2:30 pm - taken 3:00 pm - taken 3:30 pm - taken 4:00 pm - taken 4:30 pm 5:00 pm - taken Sessions will be first come first serve and $50 deposit must be made upon booking. Dm to Book!

I can’t express how neat it was to get a message from Melissa Coastal Weddings and Events, last night telling me that our packages with Sunshine Coast Air to Chatterbox falls had won Best Ceremony Location in the B.C. wedding awards !! These elopements are some of the best highlights to our seasons, we’ve lucked out with the most amazing couples and B.C has provided such a spectacular spot for us to take them to! We are so lucky to live here, hats off to Melissa for entering at the last second! And a huge congratulations to Sea To Sky Gondola and The Rockwater Secret Cove Resort as well! They are both such deserving and fantastic wedding vendor locations here in B.C!

From my last session before the shit hit the fan. Feeling super nostalgic right now wondering when the heck my next session will be? 3 months? 6? It’s a wild time to be alive! Feeling grateful for the things that are stable in life right now and making art of my kids around the house

Another Gratitude Session gifted!!! I was so excited to be able able to gift another Gratitude Session today!! That is two sessions gifted and $200 for our local food bank! This one was given to one of our local front line workers with a pivotal job of helping to keep food in our community for us to feed our families!! Jennifer Neumann chose to give her gifted session to an IGA Gibsons employee, Kendra Bell. If you’ve ever shopped at IGA you’ve probably seen Kendra’s smi...ling face behind the customer service desk. Her and all of the staff at IGA have been doing such a wonderful job of making their store as safe as possible and as fully stocked for our community as they are able! Well done Kendra and the team at IGA, you and all of your hard work are so appreciated!!

The first gratitude session nomination announcement went out to day and I am feeling so excited!! It feels so good to be able to help make someone appreciated and happy even in just some small way right now! It went to a wonderful kind, young mom who works as a paramedic here on the coast. I actually got to take her newborn photos when her babe was born so the first one going to her feels extra special for me because of that personal relationship! She was nominated by a love...ly bride of mine from a previous summer! Dominique Thankyou for reaching out and making someone feel appreciated and Christie Thankyou for stepping up and serving our community during this trying time! That’s one session gifted and $100 to donate to our local food bank!

I’ve been struggling with a feeling of helplessness recently along with an overwhelming and humbling feeling of appreciation of the situation I find myself and my family in. I recognize that I am in a place of humble privilege here. I am painfully aware of and thankful for the little roof we have over our heads, the food on our tables, our wonderful backyard that my children are out playing in and the current health of my family members and I. First elopement of the year and damn was it spectacular! Just sent off this beautiful gallery! Regan and Annie your photos are ready!!!!

I fell, on my butt, superrrrr hard probably 5 mins after I took this shot? One and only time I’ve ever bailed at a shoot. I’m very surprised Katie didn’t pop that baby out right then and there thinking I was going to slide off the edge. Huge bruise on my butt cheek but I saved my camera. That’s what counts right ?

Photographing these two and all of their constantly changing, wonderfully quirky and vibrant personality traits as they’ve grow is one of my favourite yearly traditions Ashlee Van Diessen

Officially on Holidays for the next 40 days. Well, on holiday from sessions anyways. Currently rocking my new granny looking blue light glasses I got in the mail today, working my butt off to get as many of these weddings and engagement sessions off to my couples before Christmas! I’m so excited to crack down in editing, enjoy some time at home with my babes and get ready for Christmas!

Can not get over these two and this beautiful gals dress!!!!
