Tip of the week: Ever wonder why you're told to have the sun behind you when taking a picture? It's because your camera doesn't know that your subject will otherwise be too dark when compared to the sun behind him/her. It's a safe shot but often lacks interest. Try breaking the rule and shoot into the sun but use fill flash to brighten your subject. Big drama, interesting shot and gorgeous highlights in the hair!
Big bridal shoot on Monday with my buddy Alicia and her friend (the bride to be). Really looking forward to creating some contemporary bridal and beauty images
Tip of the week: Now that summer is here, outdoor photography can be challenging with harsh shadows caused by mid day sun. Try using your flash outdoors as 'fill flash' to help fill in some of those harsh shadows. You'll be limited to the distance your flash can reach so for close shots of your family and friends, it can make a huge difference. Give it a try - you'll be surprised and thrilled with the results!
