Everyone is dealing with our pandemic in different ways... physically, emotionally and even work wise. It affects us all... but it effects us all differently. We just have to do what we have to do to keep moving forward. For me... These videos are what have been helping me pass the time and feel good about everything. And just like my "Words of wisdom" posts, I like to make sure my videos have a message of hope or inspiration in each of them. Social Distancing and Isolation are difficult for most, but for some it's more than hard. It can cause fear, anxiety, panic, depression or even suicidal thoughts. Our job as humans, friends, family, co-workers, etc is to help each other out. Yes, it can be hard when we are isolated and told not to leave our homes. But if you are really struggling, it is ok for you to call someone, FaceTime someone or visit someone outdoors if you are 10 feet away from each other. You are stil...l allowed to have a bit of a life. Meet up on a driveway or a park and sit far enough away from each other to be apart but you can still have a conversation. For the past couple weeks I've done 4 music videos with random friends showing that we can still do something fun together from different homes. Each video I did showed a different message and I'm learning with every video I've done. So they are getting a little better each time as well. I do plan on making 2 new videos every week while we are stuck in isolation. I hope you have enjoyed them and will continue to. Hello from Paint it! Now that most of our lives have been put on hold and we are trying not to go stir crazy at home... don't forget to be crafty! If you're out buying groceries, stop and get some art supplies too! Adults or kids can be creative at home! Paint something, make something, create something... anything. Make your time at home fun and memorable! And don't forget to post what you've done so everyone can see how much fun you're having and they will want to join ...in the craftiness! I wish everyone out there to be safe and healthy. Merry Christmas from Paint it! - Enjoy one of my Christmas poems I wrote a few years ago: Twas the Night Before Facebook Twas the night before Facebook and all through the house... not a person was creeping with their keyboard or mouse no-one to be found digging around in the net not a single friend sharing pictures of their pet no pictures of dinner to share to the fam or tales of their heartbreak or candy crush spam why was it so quiet on such a days eve no clicks on a Kardashian or even a Bieb No befriending or poking, it just wasn't done No one cursing about politics or someones bad pun No posting or tweeting, to be found on this night Just everyone sleeping and all tucked in tight when all of a sudden the lights start to flicker I arose from my bed and covered up my nickers There was a strange noise coming from the main room I looked to grab a bat, but all I found was my broom I creeped through the house clutching tight with my sweeper And praying it was just santa and not some gross creeper I came round the corner to see a strange sight Someone was at my computer booking a flight As I came up upon him, I see that its Santa Hes eating my food and drinking my Fanta Whats he doing on the net, instead of delivering my gift Hes using up my data, I just may have a fit I tapped him on the shoulder and he jump of the stool He screamed like Ned Flanders and looked like a fool Ho Ho Holy crap, he yelled as he cowered He then quietly asked to borrow my shower I asked him right then, what he was doing online It seemed the only question I could ask at this time He stood up straight and apologized out loud The reason is embarrassing, Im really not proud He sat down and told me his reindeer ran off He started to tell his story, but then started to cough The reindeer are getting old and grumpy to boot They dont want to pull me, not even the loot The only way back was to find a cheap flight He tried to do it quick so he could stay out of sight So, I woke up the mouse and clicked on a link And found him the best flight to the north pole, I think That was that, he said with a wink he grabbed his big bag, still filled with gifts I do think He thanked me for helping, then a cab he did call He then dashed out the door, in no time at all As the cab drove away, the window rolled down he said, your gifts under the tree, so please do not frown Then I heard him sing, in the still of the night Happy Facebooking to all and to all a good night
