: When we think Pop Art, Andy Warhol is one of the first names that "pops" in our head. According to MoMA (Museum of Modern Art), Pop Art was inspired by everyday life. In their works, the artists connected the traditions of fine art with the mass culture of television, advertising, film, and cartoons. At the same time, they would challenge the traditional boundaries between mediums and techniques.... Pop artists would use bold strokes of primary colours that would often be used straight out of the paint tube. They adopted commercial advertising methods like silkscreening, printing and photography. When you think of Pop Art, who do you think of? What image comes to mind? T: In Grace Fussell article "The Origins, Symbolism, and Design Power of the Color Coral" she states that the colour coral first appeared in English in the early 16th century and is named after the colourful skeletons formed by reef-dwelling polyp. Coral jewelry was worn by the Ancient Egyptians and Romans and was believed to have the power to resist evil and temptation.

T: Colour psychology suggests that different colours can have an impact on our mood and feelings. The colour pink, for example, is thought to be a calming colour associated with love, kindness, and femininity. While the colour blue is tied to feelings of calmness or serenity. Do you agree?
