Our school age summer programming will only start as of July 5, 2021 so that we can prepare, plan and setup for a fun summer with the children.

Is your child ready for Kindergarten? First time (children born in 2017-Year 1, and children born in 2016-Year 2 who are not already registered), it's time to register! Please call the school to arrange a time to pick up a registration package or send an email to [email protected].

What’s Happening at Kids and Us? Paisley Kids and Us has been fortunate enough to host Emergency Childcare for our school age learners during the provincial lockdown for the second time! Back in January we hosted this program for a one-week time period. In order for families to be able to use our program, they had to apply to the county and from there would be approved to register for care if they were deemed an essential worker. These families are now utilizing our program ...where we are supporting their children with school work via online learning. We are about 3 and a half weeks into this round of e-learning and we have developed a routine that works to support children from 5 different schools, of all different ages between 4 and 12 years old. Can you believe it? It takes a tremendous amount of planning and organization, but we have found a routine that works for everyone! Children come with their tablets, headphones and activities that our staff assist with between 9:00 and 3:00 each day. We coordinate everyone schedules to find time to spend outside, as well as to have some down time where we can do group games and activities. We live in crazy times - stories like this will be told for years to come! In our toddler and preschool groups, we are keeping busy learning about how to care for the Earth and keep it clean. We have been on a few walks around town where we have been collecting garbage and talking about why littering is not okay. We have also done some flower planting and housed some earth worms in our worm farm that was donated a few years ago by one of our families. We talk about the life cycles and how some day we will be using our worm farm to plant vegetable and flower gardens; we are hoping to do this when we plant pumpkins. Here’s to hoping we have luck. Hello everyone, for those of you who don’t know, I am Kayla Tuttle, the supervisor of Paisley Kids and Us as well as the Chesley Kids Club program. I am excited to be back at the centre and look forward to getting to know all of you if we haven’t met prior to my maternity leave. Please don’t hesitate to call and say hello. A little about me; I grew up in Mildmay and currently live with my husband and daughter in Hanover. We enjoy spending time with family and friends, and are always up for an adventure. Please bare with me as I learn all the new COVID rules and settle back into the position. We forgot to post it but last Monday we came to the daycare and there was a butterfly! We went for a walk and set it free. We talked about how it wouldn’t have enough room to fly around in the daycare so he is safer if we let him out outside!
