In these cold winter days its not just your water pipes you have to worry about freezing. We pulled this pump out of an old house last week. As you can see, the ice expanding inside the pump was enough to split the casing.

Another reminder, if you own a house, or you're looking into buying one, its a great idea to get your sewer camera'd. Here's a piece of pipe we dug up. If the sewer was camera'd earlier, this could have been caught before it was bad enough to flood the customers basement.

If you can't tell what you're looking at, this is a screen shot from our "See-Snake". This sewer line as blistered and split apart causing the sewer to back up in the customers basement. Just a friendly reminder, getting your sewer camera'd is a must when buying a home, or if you want to check on things in your current home. Don't wait until it's too late!
