Animator Ann Sullivan (1929-2020) is best known for The Little Mermaid, The Lion King and Pocahontas, among many others. She spent her senior years at the Motion Picture & Television Country House in Woodland Hills, California. Scores of movie notables and many people from behind the scenes live there. It was co-founded by Canadian Mary Pickford, who recognized lives in the arts are not always financially secure, especially for those in their senior years. PAL Ottawa has a similar mission: to provide seniors in the capital region who work(ed) in the arts sector with affordable housing and personal support in a creative, caring community. To get involved, like our Facebook page and contact us at [email protected]!
