This is a good book!! - funny incisive satire, the author committed suicide before it was published.

I dont know if these 3 books are in the shop at the moment but their authors are well worth checking up on. Have you seen the film 'In the Name of the Rose'? Well it's based on a novel by Umberto Eco who died last year. Fabulous and mysterious writer. Mordecai Richler of course is one of Canada's great satirists. This book won the Giller Prize. And Paul Bowles was one America's greatest short story writers, novelists and composers. This book was made into a stunning film starring John Malkovich, but if you can find his short stories - grab them!
