We are so excited to reopen our office on May 19th, 2020. In March, we closed our office to eye care to do our part to slow the spread of COVID19. We have been advised as a Phase II business, Optometrists can now safely open their offices to provide routine eye care. We have been working diligently behind the scenes to ensure the safety of our patients as well as our staff. At this time, we are seeing patients by appointment only and have increased the time between exams in o...rder to limit the number of people in the office. We will be sending our patients an online intake form that will need to be filled in prior to coming in for their booked appointment. The form will include a COVID19 health prescreen questionnaire and a checklist to ensure everyone’s safety and comfort. We will be checking in patients via phone prior to the patient entering our office to minimize person to person contact. We ask that all patient come in to our office wearing a face mask or face covering. In addition, our staff will all be wearing masks but we promise you that we will all be smiling underneath them! We have added multiple sanitization protocols for each area of our office including optical, sanitization of eyeglass frames, pre-testing area, eye examination offices and vision therapy. In addition, we have added plexiglass barriers at the front desk, optical, contact lens area and vision therapy. We want to let you know our priority is to provide safe eye care to our community. Ever wondered how we do eye exams on young children? This chart is used to help determine acuity using shapes and pictures that most kids are familiar with. For kids that might not know how to identify these shapes, our doctors have so many other tools in their office which give us a comprehensive diagnosis of a child’s vision. Eye exams can be done on children as young as 6 months!
