COVID-19 UPDATE: Province of Ontario Lockdown This afternoon, the Ford government announced that the Province of Ontario will be entering a 28 day (southern Ontario) lockdown. This means that only essential services will continue to operate. With that being said, Paquette Travers will continue to operate under our current COVID-19 protocols previously established. We encourage our clients to meet with us remotely from home. Attendance at any of our offices is by appointment o...nly, and we ask that you speak with one of our staff members prior to attending to a Paquette Travers' office. According to the Kitchener-Waterloo Association of Realtors, the average price of a detached home in Waterloo Region in October was $742,596. That is an increase of 21.7 per cent over last year. This is causing a change in generational buying with the younger age group unable to purchase and moving to rental options or shared accommodations. We wanted to take a moment to kindly remind our great friends in real estate of the holidays in which some businesses may be open, but real estate transactions cannot be completed because of bank and Registry Office closures: 1. Easter Monday 2. Civic Holiday (first Monday in August)... 3. Remembrance Day (November 11th) 4. Boxing Day (in 2020, Boxing Day occurs on Saturday, therefore pushing the statutory holiday to Monday December 28th, 2020). Please note that our office will be closed Friday December 25th and Monday December 28th, 2020. We will re-open on Tuesday December 29th, 2020.
