Most renovation companies are eager to leave as soon as possible- once they receive their final payment, you never hear from them again. At Paradisaic we believe in the importance of an exit meeting. Once the project is completely finished we like to sit down together to review the experience. This gives us an opportunity to discuss how the process went from your perspective; share positive and negative moments- so we can improve. The exit meeting also gives us an opportunity to explain the warranty, review the final payment and express our sincere gratitude for having the privilege of working with you. Some kind words from one of the amazing homeowners we had the pleasure to work with: "Exceptional. Summing up our experience with Paradisaic can be boiled down to the work, exceptional. After hearing many horror stories from close family members and friends regarding other contracting firms, we entered the world of home renovations with many nerves. However, from day one Ben made our experience seamless. We were very impressed by our first meeting. Ben asked us many questions... regarding our fears and reservations. He set all our fears at ease. Upon receiving our quote, Ben gave us a VERY detailed step by step guide of the order of our renovations. At this point, we were SOLD. Being a painfully organized person, this helped me tremendously. _ Communication is something we highly valued throughout this experience as well. The Paradisaic team sets a very high standard for communication. Every Wednesday we received a weekly update, and I would often hear from the team sometimes 3 times a week. They were very quick to respond to questions. We never felt out of the loop. Thank you for this. At the end of our experience with Paradisaic we had an exit interview with the team. They ask as several questions, but they were all rooted around the idea 'what can we do better?' In all honesty, we had nothing to say. They went above in beyond in all areas. We would highly recommend them to anyone." - Brittany D _ #ParadisaicProject #20YearsInBusiness #TheParadisaicProcess See more

When working on an addition project, it is important to consider the role design plays on the price and expected schedule of the project. As Paradisaic President Ben Shelley explains in this video, it is important to work with a contractor who understands these complex factors and who can transparently communicate this to the homeowners. It takes experience to successfully plan out a project. This is our specialty. We are your renovation partner.... _ #ParadisaicProject #20YearsInBusiness #TheParadisaicProcess See more

Have you ever thought about moving, but the house you want needs renovations? This is a common situation and is exactly what transpired on this project. The homeowners wanted to downsize into a house they could make their own within an older, quiet neighbourhood. They found a lovely house with a beautiful yard. However, the house has not been touched since the 50’s and was in need of a complete updating. As a complimentary service, we met with them well before they purchased ...the house and did a walk-through with their realtor to discuss what work was needed and what they would like to achieve vs their budget. This helped visualize budgets and purchase price together, ensuring the investment is appropriate for the neighbourhood and the length they plan on staying. The scope included gutting the entire main floor and creating a completely a new floor plan. The 1950’s brought us a lot of nice things, but home floor-plans and decor was not a specialty! We moved the kitchen from a small dark corner to the great room. We converted two awkward bathrooms into a large master ensuite and a functional powder room. We brought the laundry room out from the garage and created a side-kitchenette complete with hidden mudroom and laundry room with garage access. All the shag carpet was replaced with engineered hardwood which improved flow from one side of the house to the other. Transitional decor brought the house up to today's standards with a timeless look lasting many years. Bright white colours made the space feel much larger and more open. The renovation was much more than decor, we restructured the roof line and reframed many components of walls and floor systems to make sure the bones of the house were strong. We re-poured the foundation for the front garage wall as well as removed a 20’ tall stone fireplace that required reframing the roof and wall between garage and home. When reveal day came the homeowners moved into their brand new, 1950’s renovated home. It was laid out and decorated exactly as they envisioned. _ #ParadisaicProject #20YearsInBusiness #TheParadisaicProcess
