Parents Against Trafficking 15.01.2021

As the Chairman of the #MenEndingTrafficking board and Director of Lifeworthy.ca, I'm heartbroken to see such a prevalence of sex trafficking in Canada, especially the trafficking of minors. I want to give a big shout out to Kelly, Lynda and their team at Courage for Freedom for putting together the Eradicate Challenge to raise awareness about this horrendous crime. Let me challenge you to take the Eradicate Challenge pledge. Visit CourageforFreedom.org, print the Project Ma...ple Leaf Eradicate Challenge sign to include in your photo or video and tag five friends! Here's my pledge: I, John Cassells, want to #eradicate the buying and selling of Girls and Boys, children in Canada #EradicateChallenge #Courage for Freedom #projectmapleleaf #EndChildTrafficking @Courage for Freedom See more

THERE IS POWER IN OUR UNITED VOICE IN PRAYER The Lord is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth. Psalms 145:18 NASB As part of its Faith in Action initiative, Shared Hope is mobilizing faith networks and faith communities to fight child sex trafficking and protect children. As we enter 2021, 30 Days of Prayer coincides with Human Trafficking Awareness month. Beginning January 1, and culminating with Shared Hope’s National Day of Prayer to End Child ...Sex Trafficking on January 31, believers everywhere will be able to participate in prayers imploring God’s favor and relief with regard to the offense of human trafficking against all who are made in His image. The whispered cries of survivors are seldom heard above the din, but those victims do have a voice, and Shared Hope has listened and acted on their behalf in powerful ways throughout our entire history. Multi-year initiatives are a visible part of our historybut at this moment, and in this time, nothing is more powerful than the power of prayer during Human Trafficking Awareness Month. We invite all who trust in the authority and providence of the God of the Bible to join us each day in January, leading up to Shared Hope's National Day of Prayer to End Child Sex Trafficking, for an appeal to heaven. Encourage others to sign up to participate in 30 days of prayer and receive a daily email with a focused prayer, scripture from both Old and New Testament, and action items taken from Shared Hope’s 30-Day Prayer Guide. As believers in a mighty God, we want to draw on His word and direct our prayers to the broken world around us, to every child regardless of their circumstance, and to everyone who has suffered through sexual exploitation. Share with others to participate in our January 30-Day Prayer Campaign at: www.sharedhope.org/30DaysPrayer As the month unfolds, we are excited to share more about the virtual prayer gathering on Sunday, January 31st. We will culminate this month of prayer, not as a closing, but as an introduction to continued prayer to end sex trafficking. Share this email to invite friends to sign up for 30 Days of Prayer and the gathering on January 31st, for a brief word of inspiration from a special speaker and prayer of encouragement as we move forward into 2021 with our continuing fight against child and youth exploitation. Jo Lembo, Director of Faith Initiatives & National Outreach Shared Hope International
