With today's announcement that the Province of Ontario will be moved to Lockdown effective December 26, 2020 to January 23, 2021 the County of Brant has confirmed that all recreation facilities will be closed during that time. Any further extension of this or other restrictions will be shared closer to the date. Our skating programs will resume when able and safe to do so. We will continue to keep our members updated. If you have specific questions please reach out. Plea...se know that we may or may not have the answers at this time during this period of uncertainty. Stay safe, stay healthy and we hope to see you back at a rink soon. Please note assessment day will proceed on December 22 as planned.

At this time winter skating sessions will not start until February 12th, pending any further updates. Any questions about this please reach out. We hope our skating families are staying well.

Are you visiting a County of Brant facility, arena or community centre? The County of Brant is required to be compliant with the provincial regulations. On Nov...ember 13, 2020, the County of Brant changed from Yellow level to Orange level as outlined by the Provincial COVID-19 framework. There are very minimal impacts for facility users, however, we would like to highlight a few important requirements. Every person who enters a recreation facility is required to provide their contact tracing information. To simplify this process, we made some adjustments to the QR code check-in process. Staff are available to assist. In the Orange Zone/Level, no member of the public may be indoors at the facility for longer than 90 minutes at a time unless the member of the public is in the facility to engage in a sport. Parents who have back-to-back schedules for their children should ensure they leave the building for a short period of time so that they do not exceed the 90 minute limit. For situations where parents or coaches have to leave for a short period of time, staff will provide a sticker so we know that the check-in process has already occurred. This alleviates the need for people to re-enter their information. In the Orange Zone/Level, each person under the age of 18 years who is engaged in activities in the facility may be accompanied by one parent or guardian. Adult groups can have NO spectators. Facility capacity limits remain at 50 people in total per rink/area maximum when there is space for sufficient physical distancing. We thank everyone for their understanding and cooperation. If you have questions, please contact us 519.44BRANT or 1.855.44BRANT.

With the winter weather upon us, we want to remind our families of the process for cancelling due to winter weather. We will try to make the most informed decision about whether to cancel our skating sessions or not. These decisions can take some time to determine so if you have not heard anything be patient as we may be determining a decision and cannot answer each email or message from all of our families. If a decision to cancel is made that information will be emailed to... our members, and posted on our social media - facebook, twitter and instagram. Please follow us on any social platforms you may have to stay up to date. If you have unsubscribed from the communications on your Uplifter account you would not receive the email. If skating is NOT cancelled, but you feel it is too risky to travel to skating, please make your own informed decision if you will come to skating or not. Our skating families come from a large geographic area and we cannot predict the weather in your area or your own comfort level for driving in winter weather. We want all of our skating family members to be safe. Due to COVID protocols we would need to be informed by email if you will not be in attendance for this reason.

Please see the update on contact tracing when entering County of Brant facilities. This is in ADDITION to the screening and contact tracing our club is mandated to be completed by Skate Ontario. Helpful tips: bookmark the page after the first time you complete this. Then when arriving at future sessions, complete this in your car upon arrival at the facility then show the County of Brant ambassador your check mark before entering. We appreciate everyone's cooperation and understanding. Any questions about this please email the club or speak to the County of Brant staff.
