FRIDAY, DECEMBER 11, 2020 "It is true that there are obstacles that can make our choices difficult: fear, insecurity, so many unanswered questions Love, however, demands that we move beyond these, and not keep wondering why life is the way it is, and expecting answers to fall down from heaven. The answer has come: it is the gaze of the Father who loves us and who has sent us His Son. No, love pushes us to go beyond the why, and instead to ask for whom, to pass from asking, ...Why am I alive? to For whom am I living? From Why is this happening to me? to Whom can I help? For whom? Not just for myself! Life is already full of choices we make for ourselves: what to study, which friends to have, what home to buy, what interests or hobbies to pursue. We can waste years thinking about ourselves, without ever actually starting to love." Pope Francis

This world would have us believe that true happiness comes from possessions and those who find contentment with the simple things of life... are wrong. Yet to such as these you came, and such as these you sent, to herald a kingdom in which to lose all things is to gain everything, and where true happiness comes from the possession of nothing but this, to know Christ Jesus and the power of his resurrection in our hearts and lives, for which we offer grateful thanks. . Tuesday September 29 is the feast of Saint Michael and All Angels Saint Michael and All Angels celebrates three archangels who are venerated in the tradition of... the Church. Michael (Who is like God) was the archangel who fought against Satan and all his evil angels, defending all the friends of God. He is the protector of all humanity from the snares of the devil. Gabriel (Strength of God) announced to Zachariah the forthcoming birth of John the Baptist, and to Mary, the birth of Jesus. Raphael (Medicine of God) is the archangel who took care of Tobias on his journey. See more

As nice as it was listening and watching our weekly services in jammies and the comfort of my own home, it was good be back worshipping in our Church today. It was so nice to see my church family, even though it was different and no hugs allowed - it was good to be back! Sure, there are rules and procedures that need to be followed; but it worked. Please God, this will be short lived (I know we’ve been saying it since March) and we’ll be back to a full house very soon. In the meantime, wear the mask, keep the distance and believe in the words This too shall pass.
