We may not have been able to host the craft show at Springtime in Paris this year, but we hope to be able to next year! Stay well!
The Paris Optimist Club will be participating in the Paris Food Drive on June 13. Our routes will be in the south end (Washington/Race etc area) but there will be volunteers all over Paris picking up donations off your doorstep. Watch for the flyer to be delivered earlier that week. We hope you will participate if you are able!
The Paris Optimist Club is participating in this Food Drive for our community. If you would like to participate, you can select an area or a group from the map at this website: www.parisfooddrive.com
If you would like to donate to the new High School Graduating Student Award in memory of Julie Nichols-Clements, please forward your cheque to Paris Optimist Club, PO Box 93 Paris, Ont. N3L 3E5. Please note on the comment line Julie. We have many fond memories of Julie.
Last Thursday a young woman named Julie Nichols-Clements who grew up in Paris, died of cancer. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and those that loved her during this difficult time. In her teen years Julie was a student at PDHS and was one of the girls in the Pathfinders girls group that would help the Optimists. Julie helped with several things at the Optimist club during those years; doing dishes, handing out candy in the parades and helping to clean up at the... club after the adult dances. Julie was very compassionate and helpful to other students at PDHS. She was very supportive of the Paris Optimist Club and always spoke with great pride about her involvement with the club. As an adult Julie continued to lend moral support to everyone she met. The Club has decided to add an annual award in memory of Julie, to be donated each year and given to a graduating student at the Awards and Graduation ceremony at PDHS. If you would like to donate to this award please send your cheque to Paris Optimist Club, PO Box 93 Paris, Ont. N3L 3E5. Please mark on the comment line Julie. We have many fond memories of Julie. https://www.budgellfuneralhome.ca/o/julie-nichols-clements
