Hi Community! We are currently looking for volunteers available to deliver grocery boxes using a personal vehicle within the Parkdale/High Park/Downtown-West areas in Toronto. We deliver grocery boxes to clients unable to leave their homes due to COVID19. We are particularly looking for volunteers available on Saturday between 9 am - 2 pm; but can also take on volunteers Wednesday/Thursday 9 am - 3 pm or Fridays 9 am - 2 pm. Our grocery boxes make up a weeks worth of food fo...r an individual/family. They are quite large which can make for some difficulties for cyclist volunteers, so we suggest using a car. However, if you are confident in your ability to transport on a bike/e-bike/motorcycle we would also love to have you! If you are interested, please email our coordinator at [email protected] with the subject line 'Delivery Volunteer'. Thanks!! See more

Today we picked up some delicious produce from the Rockliffe Demonstration & Teaching Garden!! Fresh, organic produce is such an amazing resource for our clients. We go out of our way to ensure that all of our clients have access to an abundance of fruits and veggies year round. Do you have a garden with excess ripe produce & don’t know what to do with it?? Our clients would love to have it in their weekly grocery boxes. Donations can be dropped off: Wednesday/Thursday 9 am -... 3 pm Friday/Saturday 9 am - 1:30 pm See more

A few weeks back, one of our superstar volunteers posted a photo of our empty warehouse. Since the beginning of the COVID19 pandemic the need for our services have gone up by 33% (2000 clients monthly up to 3000). It is no secret that we have struggled to keep up with the huge increase in demand. Thankfully, our amazing community came together in order to stock up our warehouse to what it currently is, we are so grateful for the help. However, the need is ongoing and we are confident as emergency assistance begins to run out the need for our services will continue to rise. Thank you so much to all of our amazing donors. It is amazing to see such a tangible result of your direct assistance! Our clients have an abundance of food for the time being. Thank you.
