It was a rainy evening yesterday for our Drive Thru Activity Box Drop off but we were still overwhelmed by people’s generosity. We received so many wonderful items to fill activity boxes that we will send to the remote northern communities of Southend, SK, Grassy Narows, ON, and Kingerfisher Lake, ON through The Ballantyne Project We are honoured to be a part of this incredible and meaningful project. Thanks to the Parkgate Youth Centre for spearheading Parkgate Society’s role in this.

Thank you to The Griffin Art Project’s Snail Mail - coordinating the making of lovely cards that have been included in our Festive Holidays meals today.

Our Parkgate Elves are busy today preparing our festive turkey dinners for pick up and delivery. Today’s meal also includes sweet treats and handwritten cards made by children in our child care and in our community. With generous support from PARC Retirement Living.

Tomorrow, Wed. Dec 16, 3-7pm at Parkgate Community Centre is our #WeSeeYou Drive Thru in support of isolated youth living in northern Canada. Drive by with items to contribute or cash donations and we will use the money to buy items and send them to youth living in the remote northern communities of Southend, SK, Grass Narrows, and Kingfisher in Ontario.
