We hope everyone is doing well, staying home and staying safe! To pass the time, a lot of us are outside enjoying the nice weather and walking our dogs. A reminder to everyone that it is Tick Season now and they are out and hungry! We have had a lot of phone calls over the past couple weeks from clients finding ticks on their pets, even pets that haven't left their own backyard. If you haven't picked up your tick prevention yet, please give us a call at 705-745-4605 and we can help you out. We are currently still operating 8am-4pm, Monday- Friday. You can always leave a message on our answering service, email or Facebook and we will get back to you as soon as possible. Stay safe everyone!

On the eve of another busy week, I wanted to THANK all of our staff for their continued efforts and enthusiasm despite the challenging times. Parkhill Animal Hospital continues to be OPEN and here to support the essential needs of our clients. Hours and services will continue as they did last week. Parkhill Animal Hospital is OPEN and will be over the next two weeks. We are, however, only providing essential and/or emergency services. Specifically: 1. We are supporting sick patients. Please call the clinic if your pet is unwell and we will work with you to address these issues at the clinic or over the phone when appropriate. 2. We are not doing wellness appointments at this time. We will be cancelling all vaccine appointments until April 7th in order to support the pr...ovinces focus on keeping families at home. We will reschedule all of these appointments following this 2 week period. We are continuing to provide clients with tick medication and any other refills as needed. Pet food remains available. Please order ahead by calling in. 3. We will be cancelling non essential surgeries for the next two weeks. We will reschedule these following this two week periods. Emergency surgeries will be completed as necessary. 4. The clinic hours will be 8am to 4pm Monday to Friday. We will remain closed on Saturdays until further notice. 5. When at all possible please use credit cards or etransfers to complete payments to the clinic. Cash and debit are accepted, but require more physical contact which we would like to minimize. Parkhill Animal Hospital, out of an abundance of caution, will be moving to a new model of providing service to our clients until April 1st, 2020. 1. For Appointments: When you arrive at the clinic we are asking you to remain in your car in the parking lot. Our staff will come to the car, collect your concerns and bring your pet into the clinic. Our veterinarian will complete an exam and then come out to consult with you about the best course of treatment for your pet. The ag...reed upon treatment will then be completed and then we will bring your pet back to the car. Payment can be completed over the phone or alternate arrangements can be made. 2. For Food or Prescription Refills: Please call ahead when possible to ensure your product is ready and available. When you arrive in the parking lot please call into the clinic (705-745-4605) or honk your horn. We will send a staff out to put the product in your trunk. Payment can be completed over the phone or alternate arrangements can be made. Home delivery is available as needed. Please call with any questions. We remain open and here to support you in maintaining your pets health.

Parkhill Animal Hospital is committed to the safety of our staff, our clients and our community. As such we have been completing the following measures: 1. We are doing extra disinfecting of surfaces in all areas of the clinic. 2. We have implemented social distancing protocols for the common areas and where at all possible we are having clients wait in treatment rooms. 3. When booking an appointment, we are asking the client if they recently been out of Canada, or are curr...ently exhibiting any respiratory symptoms associated with COVID- 19. 4. When calling for appointment reminders we are asking the clients to advise the practice if they have recently travelled outside of Canada or are exhibiting any COVID-19 symptoms, so that appropriate precautions can be taken. 5. We are asking clients to refrain from bringing other family members/people with them for their appointment. 6. We are asking clients to clean their hands when they arrive at the clinic and we are sanitizing merchant card machines between clients. Thanks again for patronage and support Your Parkhill Team

Parkhill Animal Hospital is open and here to support you and your pet. We are also prioritizing the health of the staff, other clients and the community. As such we are currently serving clients in the following capacity: 1. We are still doing appointments and supporting you with care for your pets. We are spacing the appointments out to minimize overlap between clients and also allowing staff to clean common areas between appointments. 2. Food - We are working diligently to ...order and stock the special diets that your pets need. We will continue to work to get these food products to you in a timely manner. Home delivery within Peterborough is possible. Customers will be required to pre pay for the food prior to delivery. Please contact the clinic to see how we can help if you are unable to come to the clinic. 3. Medications - We know many of your pets are on medications and we are actively stocking the pharmacy. Please plan ahead if you are going to run out of product. We are placing orders daily but delivery times are delayed from the suppliers. A limited home delivery service is available as needed. At this time we are not doing nail trims. These will be available again when we are back to regular hours. PLEASE NOTE: We are closed on Saturdays until April and we will be closing the clinic at 5pm to support daily comprehensive cleaning of the clinic.
