Did you know that river otters don’t migrate with the change of seasons? This week, #Parka traveled to Kouchibouguac National Park to learn from their conservation team. During the winter, our team watches and look for signs of otters when the waterways are frozen and easily accessible. This monitoring can tell us about the state of the otter population and the health of riparian ecosystems. If otters are doing well, in general, these ecosystems are doing well too! Learn more about the close link between river otters and the park's riparian and estuarine habitats http://ow.ly/74hz50D3QcX

Our webcams help us collect important data AND capture spontaneous moments like this one in Pacific Rim National Park Reserve. If you’re lucky enough to see wildlife in any national park remember to give them space and never feed wildlife. Respecting wildlife is everyone’s responsibility. http://ow.ly/hbFz30qBPBs

Built in 1866, this City of Toronto - Your Local Government landmark is a rare example of a country estate and villa transformed into an opulent Edwardian residence. As such, Spadina is recognized today as a site of national historic significance. The mansion’s architecture, interior design and furnishings together with its surrounding grounds, garden, and outbuildings illustrate the grandeur in which Canada’s wealthy elite lived during a period of rapid urban expansion at th...e beginning of the 20th century.
