Parkscapers is continuing to refine our programming to better support the needs of our resort partners. These changes include a pre-season one day Park and Operations Training with the goal of ensuring your staff understand the implications of building and maintain terrain features while filling resort staff training gaps. The topics covered will be discussion based sessions facilitated by a ParkScapers committee member both in-class and on-snow for actual hands on training...: Terrain Layout including percentage of feature sizes and introduction to sketch up Signage and size range review of snow and jib features On-snow working with park tools including rakes, shovels, inclinometer, tape measure Documentation and Risk Management Construction technique from snow management to efficient use of machines and staff Maintenance and defining your resorts feature standards Daily routine when checking and repairing features Park and Operations Training will give participants a foundation to work the season at your resort and prepare them for the Full Program in April at Beaver Valley Ski Club.
