Dry, chalky teeth after eating spinach? That’s because of the oxalic acid in the leafy greens. When you chew, the oxalic acid mixes with the calcium in the spinach and calcium oxalate forms. Its crystal structure doesn’t dissolve well so it coats your teeth that’s what makes your mouth feel kinda weird. Believe it or not, there’s a name for it: spinach teeth.
