Dear family and friends of Park Street, Visitation will be changing at Park Street Place Retirement Residence once again. With Influenza season and the rise in COVID-19 cases in Chatham-Kent I feel it is best that we have a smaller footprint of visitors through our facility. Visitation will be Tuesdays from 9:30-11:30 and Thursdays from 1:00-3:00pm... Visits will be in residents suites for 45 minutes. 2 visitors are allowed at a time. Residents are only allowed up to 2 people a day on the scheduled visitation dates. Family members that are approved ‘Caregivers’ the above rules do not apply. Visitors will be screened at the front door, temperature taken, visitors will be asked to attest that he/she is not experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms, handwashing and wearing a surgical/procedural mask is required. (Park Street Place will not provide masks). We ask that visitors call 24 hours in advance to book the visit. Please refrain from bringing anything in for the resident you are visiting unless it is his/her care package of necessities requested by residents and/or staff. Care packages need to be in a bag clearly labelled to be disinfected before entering the residents room. I ask that you leave your belongings, coffee and other items in your vehicle. When in the residents room I ask that you respect the regulations in place such as maintaining a 2 meter distance from the resident. No physical contact such as touching, hugging, kissing. Please refrain from touching as much in the room as possible. Residents bathrooms are off limits at this time (my apologies), no sharing beverages or food and wearing a mask is required during the entire visit. So there is no confusion all that has changed at this time is the days and time allowed for visitation and the location of the visit. Park Street Place Retirement Residence is asking all family and friends of our residents to please donate this Holiday Season, by dropping off an unwrapped toy to Park Street Place. The toys are to help the "Chatham Goodfellows - no child without a Christmas" challenge. Also, Park Street Place Retirement Residence is requesting the gift of hats, mittens, scarves and toiletries to the homeless youth shelter, "The Rock Mission", in Chatham. These items may be dropped o...ff at Park Street Place too! The final day to drop off a Christmas gift is November 21/20. Please remember, that the biggest gift that you can give yourself and your family this Christmas Season is to meet the needs of others! Thank you!

Remembrance Day at Park Street Place Retirement Residence The heartfelt and emotional service was given by Reverend Barry Kentner and the beautifull hymns were performed by pianist Sharon Stevens. The Remembrance Day cookies were baked by Cook Helen.... Thank you, to everyone for being part of the service in such a special way.

The residents were treated to a wonderful variety of baked goods from Union Block Bakery! Squares, tarts and novelty breads added a "sweet" touch to the Halloween festivities at Park Street Place Retirement Residence. The residents and staff would like to "THANK YOU" for your kindness and for thinking of the residents during these ongoing and uncertain times. Park Street Place is grateful to be part of the very giving community of Dresden. Also, thankyou, to Kathy and Stuart Kiar for dropping off the delightful one-of- a- kind goodies!
